SoCon Tournament kicks off today.

It's tournament time as leagues around the country begin their respective end of year tournaments to determine who will represent them in the NCAA tournament. The stakes are high, win and you go to the big dance, lose and your season is over. The tournament is being held at the North Charleston Coliseum.

Georgia Southern is seeded #1 as they won the regular season and earned themselves as bye on the first day of action. Others team that received a bye are # 2 Elon, 3 Davidson, 4 C of C and 5 UT Chattanooga. There are 3 games today with No. 9 Wofford opening play against No. 8 App St, then it's No 10 UNC Greensboro against No 7 Western Carolina followed by No 11 Citadel vs No 6 Furman. The tournament concludes on sunday.

Georgia Southern is the favorite to win as they finished 20-8, 11-4 in conference play but Chattanooga is the defending champs so they will be out to defend their title.
