Terrell Owens dons the Star, signs with the Cowboys!!

In a move that both parties hope will lead them to the SuperBowl, Terrell Owens signed with the Dallas Cowboys. He signed a 3 year 25 million contract, a contract that will make him the highest paid receiver in the NFL. That was one of the issues that led to his eventual release from the Eagles. Everyone knows what his past has been so there is no need to go into an explanation.

As a diehard Cowboys fan, I'm happy in the fact that we now have the games best receiver. Dallas hasn't had a receiver of this quality since Michael Irvin. He will significantly help this offense and get Dallas back into the playoffs. He will take away the double coverage on Terry Glenn, open up the underneath for TE Jason Witten and will take away the 7-8 man fronts that RB Julius Jones and Marion Barber have been dealing with. By helping the offense he'll help the defense in the fact that the defense will be on the sidelines resting and will be playing with a lead more than not.

Now, I'm going to treat TO much like I did with Deion Sanders. Before Deion joined the Cowboys I could care less about him as a player or person but once he dons the star and shut down wr's I became a fan of him. Now if TO comes in and gives us everything he has and doesn't cause any on field or off field problems then I will embrace him. But part of me can't help but feel like we are selling our soul to the devil with this deal. After all he did disgrace the Cowboys when he ran to mid field after scoring a td and spiked the ball on the star. If he puts up the numbers and keeps his mouth shut, he'll eventually win over fans but as of now, he's kinda on parole until he proves himself.
